Η Rockstar Games θα κυκλοφορήσει το Red Dead Online ως αυτόνομο παιχνίδι την 1η Δεκεμβρίου σε τιμή γνωριμίας 4,99 $ έως τις 21 Φεβρουαρίου 2021, όπου και η τιμή θα αλλάξει σε 19,99 $.
Θα είναι διαθέσιμο για PlayStation 4 μέσω του PlayStation Store, Xbox One μέσω του Microsoft Store και PC μέσω Steam, Epic Games Store και Rockstar Games Launcher.
Το Red Dead Online ήταν προηγουμένως διαθέσιμο μόνο με την αγορά Red Dead Redemption 2.
